From 1999 to 2009 the Foundation hosted the Asian Voices Seminar Series in Washington, DC with the support of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Tokyo. This seminar series was designed to provide a forum to present Asian viewpoints on regional and global issues that affect the US-Asia relationship.
Each year the Foundation invites scholars, journalists, policy specialists and other public intellectuals from all over the world to speak in order to promote dialogue between the United States and Asia. As part of its attempts to promote dialogue, the Foundation, with the support of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Tokyo, distributes Asia Views, a regional newsmagazine that aims to present the work of experienced Asian journalists to the wider world.
The Foundation also awards a few grants to not-for-profit institutions each year. This program is designed to promote better understanding and international cooperation on both Asian and global issues.
