Dr. Wong will discuss the increasing importance of technological
innovation and entrepreneurship, and the expanding role of the
digital economy in global competition. He will present an assessment
of the competitive performance of the four East Asian Newly
Industrializing Economies (Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong
Kong) in these areas and suggest development strategies for
the future.
