"Japan in Asia" is almost an oxymoron. It sounds a little bit
like "Britain in Europe." In the talk Dr. Inoguchi will discuss
Japan's uncertain relationship with Asia and how it has been
"congaging" Asia, despite all its disasters between 1895-1945.
Then he will speculate on Japan's policy in the decade ahead
in relation to the United States.
